Proud sponsor of the Fernie Ghostriders
Why Revilicious begins in Fernie.
The founder of Revilicious first visited Fernie in 1996 and spent extended periods there over many years. During one of those early stays came a first hockey game at the Fernie Memorial Arena. This season, the Revilicious ‘R’ icon appears on the front of the Ghostriders jersey as Revilicious begins in Canada.
Why Fernie
Fernie has always understood the value of reputation.
Fernie is the kind of place people come back to. The mountains may bring them there first, but it’s the people, the welcome and the character that often give them a reason to return. For some, Fernie eventually becomes home.
The town changes with the seasons. Winter brings skiers and snowboarders, while summer draws visitors for biking, hiking and events. Through it all, independent cafés, restaurants, shops, accommodation providers and guides remain central to Fernie’s identity.
That creates a distinctive relationship between local businesses and their customers. Residents know the places they enjoy and trust, while each season brings people discovering Fernie for the first time. Revilicious helps businesses understand both groups more clearly, including the many customers who enjoy an experience, come back and never leave a public review. That is why Fernie makes sense as the place where Revilicious begins in Canada.
Why hockey
Because this is where a community shows up.
Junior hockey brings together people who care deeply about their club and their community. Young players chasing the next level. Coaches and volunteers giving up their evenings. Billet families opening their homes for a season. Local businesses backing the club. Supporters turning out through the coldest months because the team belongs to them too.
The rink is where the town meets, and where kids pick their heroes. A season of separate efforts turns into something everyone can feel part of. That is worth backing.
Revilicious is for reputations built locally. Those reputations belong to cafés, shops, venues, events and community hockey clubs alike.
A new season, a new league
The Ghostriders step up to the BCHC.
After more than twenty years in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, the Ghostriders move this fall into the British Columbia Hockey Conference and sanctioned Junior A hockey. It is a real step up, and the club has put in the years to get there.
A new league brings new opponents and more attention. What stays the same is a Fernie team playing in front of the community that has backed it for generations. Revilicious is proud to be on the jersey for it.
Why Canada starts here
A familiar place to begin something new.
Revilicious launches in Canada later in 2026, beginning in Fernie. Starting in one community makes it possible to build strong relationships with local businesses, learn quickly and earn trust before expanding further.
Fernie and the wider Kootenays are home to the businesses and experiences Revilicious was created to support. Independent operators, accommodation providers, tourism businesses, venues and festivals all depend on understanding why people return and what shapes their reputation. Revilicious will begin that work here.
Backing the Ghostriders forms part of that commitment. Revilicious will grow alongside the businesses and organizers using it, with Fernie becoming the first community to influence how the product develops in Canada.
Be one of the first Revilicious businesses in the Kootenays.
Revilicious is looking for independent businesses, accommodation and tourism operators, venues and event organizers in Fernie and across the Kootenays to come on board early and help shape the product around what they actually need.
