Why Revilicious exists
Most of what your customers think, you never hear.
Public reviews feel like the voice of your customers. They aren’t. They’re the voice of the few who felt strongly enough to post, and they skew hard toward the extremes and toward first-time visitors. Your regulars, the people who know you best, are the least likely to have left one. So the businesses that most need an honest read on their customers are working from the least representative sample of all. Revilicious exists to fix that.
The quiet middle
The most valuable opinions are the ones nobody posts.
Most customers sit in a quiet middle: broadly happy or mildly let down, and silent either way. They notice what works, what grates and what would bring them back, but writing a public review takes more effort than an everyday visit seems to justify, so they say nothing and quietly decide whether to return.
That silence isn’t indifference, it’s friction. Remove the friction, make it private and take seconds, and the quiet middle turns out to have plenty to say. It’s often the most useful feedback of all, because it’s specific, unguarded and representative.
Reviews and surveys
Too skewed on one side. Too dull on the other.
There have only ever been two ways to ask. Public reviews are effortless to read but wildly unrepresentative. Formal surveys are thorough but such a chore that few people finish them, and the ones who do are a self-selected few all over again.
Revilicious sits deliberately in the gap: a few well-chosen questions, answered in seconds, so nearly everyone responds, structured enough that the answers add up to understanding rather than a pile of comments.
What actually helps
Specific beats vague, every time.
“Great!” and “not great” tell you almost nothing. “The coffee’s always excellent but the lineup at lunch is brutal” tells you exactly what to protect and what to fix. The real value in feedback comes down to one thing: whether it’s specific.
Specific praise maps what to defend. Specific criticism maps what to improve. Revilicious is built to surface the specific and let the vague fall away.
The credibility layer
Honest answers from imperfect data.
Most independent businesses don’t get enough feedback, especially early on, to draw confident conclusions from it. Three comments about slow service aren’t a crisis, but ignoring them isn’t safe either.
The people building Revilicious have spent years building software, running businesses and organizing events of their own, so it comes from people who know the data and the day-to-day reality alike. That grounding shapes everything: results weighted so a handful of responses can’t shout down the truth, comparison against similar businesses so a thin sample still means something, and a careful distinction between a real change and ordinary week-to-week noise. It’s the sort of rigour large companies pay teams for, kept invisible behind a simple answer.
What we won’t do
A listening tool, kept honest.
Two lines Revilicious won’t cross. It never gates reviews: every customer sees the same public review option regardless of what they said privately, and nothing in the private channel filters or delays access to the public one.
And it listens rather than consults: it shows a business what its customers are actually saying, clearly and honestly, and leaves the decisions where they belong, with the owner. It won’t invent certainty it doesn’t have, and it won’t pretend it can run a business for you.
Here in Canada
Built in Scotland, running in Canada.
Revilicious is built and run by 443 AI Ltd, a company registered in Scotland. We’re not going to dress that up as anything else. What we will say plainly is where your customers’ words live: feedback collected from Canadian businesses, venues and events is stored and processed on Canadian infrastructure, and Canadian results are kept entirely separate from anything on the other side of the Atlantic.
Canada starts in one place rather than everywhere at once. We’ve chosen Fernie and the wider Elk Valley as our first Canadian market: a small community with an unusually concentrated mix of independent businesses, tourism operators, venues and events, almost all of them living on reputation and repeat visits. Sponsoring the Fernie Ghostriders is how we’re introducing ourselves there. Our founder has had a second home in Fernie for twenty-five years, which is how we recognized the opportunity in the first place.
In short
Everyone deserves to know what their customers really think.
Most people say nothing about their experience, not because they have nothing to say, but because saying it usually costs more than the moment seems worth. Revilicious lowers that cost, and turns what comes back into something a business can actually trust and act on. That’s the whole idea.
